The James Homestead
The James Homestead is the perfect place for exclusive private functions. Whether its a birthday, wedding, anniversary, a wake, or just a small dinner party, we can accommodate your special occasion.
Quality home cooked fresh produce, served in an exclusive dining experience in our historic 1800's villa. Beautifully presented food personally designed for each function, made on site with your needs in mind.
Enjoy canapés and wine in a unique experience down in our buried wine cellar.
Two and a half acres of tranquil landscaped gardens located in kamo only ten minutes from the Whangarei city centre.

We manage all types of events from Weddings, Birthdays, Cooperate events, Workshops, Team building ,Wakes, Baby showers, Hen / Stag Dos etc
Morning Tea: Available from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Afternoon Tea: Available from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM (Flexible timing available)
Lunch: Available from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Evening Events: Available from 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Venue Hire Costs

Half price for children under 12

Minimum venue hire of $250 for groups under 10 people
Included in your venue hire: Tablecloths, plates, cutlery, and serving ware.

Catering is completely customizable to your tastes, needs, and budget. Once you've decided on your menu, I will provide a formal quote tailored to your selections. You’ll have the freedom to choose what feels right for you, whether it’s a relaxed afternoon tea, canapés with champagne, or a full-course meal.
